A clad weld is the laying over a base metal with a stronger, less corrosive metal on the inside diameter of a part. The purpose is either to avoid corrosion, or create a part to hold extreme pressures.
Clad helps save money, but it comes with a lot of processing in order to assure that the weld meets specifications. Even though Faith Manufacturing may not perform the weld, we have partners in Houston who have devoted capacity for our customer’s products. We have decades of experience machining clad parts, and we know how to process defects, and communicate to our vendor base what steps need to be taken.
The risk is too great to cut corners with clad components. We can assure all our customers that any clad-product we ship will meet their requirements.
