Carbon Steel Machined Parts
Carbon Steel is a metal alloy. An alloy is a material composed of either 2 metals or a metal and a non-metal. When the majority of one of these materials is Carbon, the metal alloy is considered Carbon Steel. Carbon Steel can contain trace amounts of other metals, such as nickel, molybdenum, copper and manganese, depending on what the steel will be used for.
There are four classes used to describe the different types of carbon steel. Those include Low-Carbon Steel, Medium-Carbon Steel, High-Carbon Steel and Ultrahigh-Carbon Steel.
